Who is building this.

A pre-seed venture investor is, in the end, buying the team. The rest of the site is the argument for the category, the methodology, and the wedge. This page is the argument for the people. We do not believe in pages that read like LinkedIn pulled into a website template, and we do not believe in the artificial modesty that pretends the founders have not done the work they have done. We are going to say plainly who we are, what we have done, and why we are the right people to build this company.

Jaskaran Singh

Jaskaran Singh

co-founder

Jaskaran has spent the better part of a decade as an enterprise AI architect, accumulating field exposure across something on the order of fifteen large enterprise deployments in financial services, healthcare, and industrial domains. Earlier in his career, he built and deployed explainable and responsible AI systems as the Enterprise Architect for the insurance sector across the United States and Canada, and he consulted the Dutch government on responsible and explainable AI policy in 2021, which is the precise category of regulator-grade explainability the EU AI Act is now mandating across the European market. Watching enterprise AI deployments fail at the same point, in the same way, across enough institutions to remove any reasonable doubt that the problem was the runtime layer rather than the model, is what made the category visible.

Karan Bhandari

Karan Bhandari

co-founder

Karan came into cybersecurity early enough to be the youngest CISO in India, named at fifteen years old in 2015, and has since served as a virtual CISO for multiple Fortune 100 enterprises across Europe, North America, and South Asia. He has consulted on cyber insurance underwriting, GRC frameworks, and cyber risk modelling for the past decade, which is to say across exactly the domains that Tacit's first vertical sells into. The cyber underwriting background is not incidental to the decision to start the company in cyber insurance. It is the reason the methodology will be calibrated faster in cyber than in any other line, and it is the reason the first design-partner conversations have moved as quickly as they have.

Hiring.

We are hiring senior, slowly, and with the same restraint that runs through the rest of the company. The first three hires after the seed round are a senior ML and agent engineer who will own the runtime infrastructure, a head of insurance who will open carrier doors, and a founding sales lead with a decade of insurance and fintech enterprise selling. We are not building a thirty-person organisation in year one. We do not believe a company at this stage of category creation benefits from the layer of operational friction that adding the next twenty people produces. If you are senior in any of these roles and the work described on this site reads as work you would want to do for the next five years, the door at hi@tacitlabs.ai is the same one the investors use.

Building this with us?

Write to us with the subject line "Team". We hire slowly and the bar is high, and we also genuinely want to talk to the small number of people for whom this is the right next thing. We reply within three business days.
